Clear terms.
Calmer business.

These Terms of Service explain how Tailworks works, what is included, how payments and cancellation work, and the responsibilities we each have.

hello@tailworks.co.uk

Please read these Terms before joining Tailworks. By purchasing or using a Tailworks programme or service, you agree to these Terms. They are intended primarily for independent dog grooming businesses and other business customers using Tailworks for commercial purposes.

01

Who we are

Tailworks provides websites, online booking infrastructure, business setup support and related digital services designed primarily for UK dog grooming businesses.

In these Terms, “Tailworks”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Tailworks. “You” and “your” refer to the person or business purchasing or using our services.

You can contact us at hello@tailworks.co.uk.

02

Who may use Tailworks

Tailworks is designed primarily as a business-to-business service. You should only purchase a Tailworks programme if you are authorised to enter into an agreement on behalf of the relevant business.

You must provide accurate information when purchasing, onboarding and using our services.

We may decline an application or order where we reasonably believe Tailworks is not suitable for the business, where eligibility requirements are not met, or where providing the service would create legal, technical or operational risks.

03

Tailworks programmes

Tailworks may offer different entry routes or programmes depending on your business circumstances.

Programme Setup fee Ongoing subscription
Graduate Programme £599 one-off £149 per month after launch
Professional Programme £999 one-off £149 per month after launch

The underlying Tailworks system may be substantially the same between programmes. Different setup fees may apply because of eligibility, partnerships, promotions or the route through which you join.

Graduate Programme eligibility

Where you purchase through the Graduate Programme, you may be required to demonstrate that you meet the eligibility criteria shown on our website or communicated to you when joining.

We may request reasonable evidence of eligibility before beginning setup work.

04

Setup and onboarding

After purchasing Tailworks, you will normally be asked to complete an onboarding process containing the information we need to build and configure your system.

This may include:

  • your business name and contact information;
  • your services, prices and approximate durations;
  • business opening hours and service area;
  • branding preferences;
  • business descriptions and other website content;
  • booking and cancellation preferences;
  • logos, photographs or other materials where applicable; and
  • information required to configure relevant third-party services.

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information within a reasonable time.

Any estimated launch timeframe depends on us receiving the information, approvals and access reasonably required from you. Delays caused by missing information, late responses or changes requested by you may delay launch.

05

Fees and payments

Setup fee

The applicable one-off setup fee is payable when you join unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

The setup fee covers work involved in preparing, configuring and launching your Tailworks system.

Setup fee and refunds

Once we have materially begun onboarding, design, configuration, account preparation or other setup work for your business, the setup fee is normally non-refundable, except where we agree otherwise or where applicable law requires a refund.

Monthly subscription

Unless another price has been expressly agreed with you, the ongoing Tailworks subscription is £149 per month.

Your subscription normally begins when your Tailworks system is launched or otherwise made available for your business, as communicated to you.

Subscription payments are collected on a recurring basis using the payment method associated with your account.

You are responsible for keeping your payment information valid and ensuring payments can be collected when due.

06

Cancellation

Unless we have expressly agreed a different arrangement with you, there is no long minimum subscription term after launch.

You may cancel your ongoing Tailworks subscription before your next billing date by contacting us using the cancellation method we make available to you.

Your Tailworks service will normally remain active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

What happens when you cancel

At the end of your paid subscription period, your Tailworks-hosted website and associated managed Tailworks services may be taken offline. Cancellation does not transfer ownership of the Tailworks website, source code, templates, platform configuration or other Tailworks intellectual property to you.

Amounts already paid for an ongoing subscription period are not normally refunded merely because you choose to stop using the service before that paid period ends, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

You remain responsible for any amounts that became due before the effective cancellation date.

07

Your Tailworks website and system

Tailworks provides a managed system rather than transferring a standalone website product to you.

Your subscription gives you the right to use the Tailworks website and managed services made available to your business while your account remains active and paid.

What Tailworks retains

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Tailworks retains all rights, title and interest in its:

  • website templates and design systems;
  • source code and reusable code components;
  • layouts and reusable interface components;
  • internal processes and setup methods;
  • automation systems;
  • documentation and operating systems;
  • Tailworks branding and intellectual property; and
  • other reusable technology and infrastructure.

Your Tailworks website is therefore not supplied as downloadable source code and does not automatically become portable to another provider when your subscription ends.

08

Your business content

You continue to own the original materials you provide to us, subject to any rights belonging to third parties.

These may include your:

  • business name;
  • logo;
  • original photographs;
  • original written content;
  • service and pricing information; and
  • other business materials supplied by you.

You give Tailworks permission to host, reproduce, resize, format, adapt and otherwise use these materials as reasonably necessary to provide the services to you.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide any content you send to us and to allow us to use it for your Tailworks services.

09

Booking, deposits and reminders

Tailworks may configure online booking, deposit functionality, automated confirmations, reminders and related features using Tailworks systems and third-party technology.

These tools are designed to support the operation of your business, but they cannot guarantee that:

  • every customer will attend an appointment;
  • every reminder will be received or read;
  • every payment or deposit will complete successfully;
  • your business will eliminate no-shows; or
  • your business will achieve a particular financial result.

You remain responsible for your own appointment policies, cancellation rules, pricing, refunds to your customers and delivery of grooming services.

10

Google Business Profile support

Where included in your programme, Tailworks may help you prepare, create, configure or improve elements of your Google Business Profile or related local business presence.

Google controls its own platforms, verification processes, eligibility rules, rankings, suspensions and search results.

No ranking guarantee

Tailworks does not guarantee a particular Google ranking, number of enquiries, search position, verification outcome or volume of bookings.

You are responsible for ensuring the business information supplied for your profile is accurate and complies with applicable platform rules.

11

Third-party services

Tailworks relies on third-party providers to deliver parts of the overall service. These may include website hosting, booking technology, payment providers, email services, domain services and other software infrastructure.

Where appropriate, your use of those services may also be subject to the relevant third party's own terms, privacy information, technical restrictions and availability.

We may replace, update or change third-party providers where reasonably necessary to maintain or improve the Tailworks service.

We are not responsible for an outage, restriction, policy change or other failure caused solely by a third-party provider and outside our reasonable control, although we will take reasonable steps to manage issues affecting services we provide to you.

12

Data protection

Each party is responsible for complying with the data protection laws that apply to its activities.

Where you determine why and how personal information about your grooming customers is used, you will generally act as the controller of that information.

Where Tailworks processes that personal information on your behalf solely to provide the relevant Tailworks services, Tailworks may act as a processor.

Where required, the parties will be subject to appropriate controller-to-processor data processing terms covering matters such as documented instructions, confidentiality, security, subprocessors, assistance with data subject rights, end-of-contract treatment of personal data and other requirements of applicable data protection law.

Tailworks may separately act as a controller for personal information it processes for its own legitimate business purposes, such as managing your Tailworks account, billing, support, security and legal compliance.

Further information about how Tailworks handles personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.

13

Support, maintenance and updates

Tailworks is a managed service. While your subscription remains active, we may provide reasonable support, hosting, maintenance and updates in accordance with the programme you purchased.

Support does not mean unlimited bespoke development, unlimited redesigns or work unrelated to the Tailworks service.

Where you request significant custom work or services outside the normal scope of your programme, we may decline the request or offer the work separately.

We may make reasonable changes to layouts, systems, integrations and infrastructure where necessary for security, reliability, compatibility or continued operation.

14

Your responsibilities

Tailworks provides business infrastructure and digital tools. You remain responsible for operating your grooming business.

You are responsible for:

  • the grooming services you provide;
  • your professional qualifications and insurance;
  • the accuracy of your business information;
  • your prices, services and opening hours;
  • your own customer service;
  • your cancellation, refund and appointment policies;
  • taxes, accounting and other business obligations;
  • complying with laws and regulations applicable to your business;
  • maintaining appropriate records where required; and
  • keeping account credentials and access information secure.

You must promptly tell us if information displayed through your Tailworks services becomes inaccurate or requires updating.

15

Availability and results

We aim to provide a reliable service, but no online platform can guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability at all times.

Maintenance, security updates, third-party outages, internet failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect availability.

No guarantee of business results

Tailworks provides tools and infrastructure intended to help you operate and present your grooming business professionally.

We do not guarantee any particular number of bookings, customers, enquiries, Google rankings, revenue, profit or other commercial outcome.

16

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Subject to that, Tailworks is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of anticipated profit, loss of anticipated revenue, loss of opportunity or loss arising from decisions you make in operating your business.

We are also not responsible for losses caused solely by inaccurate information supplied by you, your failure to follow reasonable instructions, misuse of the service, or events outside our reasonable control.

Where we are legally responsible for loss arising from our breach of these Terms, our liability will be determined in accordance with applicable law.

Important

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

17

Late payment, suspension and termination

If a payment becomes overdue, we may contact you and attempt to collect the outstanding amount.

We may suspend some or all Tailworks services where payment remains overdue after reasonable notice.

We may also suspend or terminate services where reasonably necessary because of:

  • serious or repeated breach of these Terms;
  • fraudulent or unlawful use;
  • security threats;
  • abusive conduct towards Tailworks staff or contractors;
  • use of the service in a way that may harm other customers or our infrastructure; or
  • circumstances where continuing the service would expose Tailworks to significant legal or regulatory risk.

Where reasonably possible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before termination, unless the circumstances require immediate action.

18

Changes to Tailworks or these Terms

We may improve, update or modify Tailworks over time as our technology, suppliers and services develop.

We may also update these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to our services, legal obligations, security requirements or business operations.

Where a change materially affects your ongoing rights or obligations, we will take reasonable steps to notify you before the change takes effect.

The latest version will be made available on our website and will show the date it was last updated.

19

General terms

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with any programme-specific terms, order information, data processing terms and other documents expressly incorporated into our agreement, form the agreement between us relating to the relevant Tailworks services.

If part of these Terms is unenforceable

If a court or competent authority determines that part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply so far as legally possible.

No waiver

If either party delays enforcing a right under these Terms, that does not necessarily mean that right has been waived.

Assignment

You may not transfer your Tailworks agreement to another person or business without our written agreement. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a genuine restructuring, sale or transfer of the Tailworks business, provided this does not materially reduce your contractual rights.

Governing law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal rights that apply.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction in relation to disputes arising from these Terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
